DPK Wins Follow-Up Project in West Bank

DPK Consulting has been awarded the Department of State, Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs' (INL) Justice Sector Assistance Project (JSAP) II, the follow-up to DPK’s initial project for INL in the West Bank, JSAP I, which was recently completed. The new project, JSAP II, will expand upon initial steps to improve the ability of criminal justice sector actors to conduct effective and efficient criminal investigations resulting in prosecutable cases. In order to do so, the project will continue to engage the Public Prosecutors' Office as well as increase the assistance previously provided to the investigation units in the Jenin Governorate.

The primary objectives of JSAP II are to 1) continue to support transparent, fair, and successful prosecutions through continued work on the efficiency and effectiveness of criminal investigations; 2) streamline operating procedures for criminal investigators and prosecutors, and 3) to integrate promising approaches from this effort into larger, comprehensive reform efforts supported by other donors. The project will enhance and expand existing support for criminal justice reforms, which can be replicated by the Palestinian Authority.
