Long-Time DPK Chief of Party, Nabil Isifan, Receives Achievement Award
PRESS RELEASE
April 1, 2010

DPK Consulting Directors William E. Davis and Robert W. Page Jr. are pleased to announce the latest recipient of the DPK Achievement Award -- Mr. Nabil Isifan. The award, which includes a stipend for continued professional development, is given to a DPK employee who embodies the values and work upon which DPK has built its solid reputation. "Nabil has demonstrated extraordinary leadership and commitment in managing the rule of law effort. He has been innovative with solutions to challenging problems. He enjoys the respect of his counterparts and colleagues. We feel quite fortunate to be his colleagues," writes Mr. Davis.
Mr. Isifan is one of DPK's longest-serving employees, having worked on DPK's first rule of law project in the West Bank and Gaza from 1999 to 2004. Afterwards, in Jordan, he played a key role on a project to share lessons learned from the previous West Bank/Gaza program in automated case management and court administration. Starting as Deputy Chief of Party, he was later promoted to Chief of Party as a result of his exceptional performance. This project paved the way for two successful follow-up projects in Jordan and marked the beginning of many years spent providing indispensable assistance modernizing the justice sector in the Middle East.
Throughout his tenure with DPK, Mr. Isifan has consistently demonstrated integrity, creativity, professionalism, and a sincere commitment to improving the justice sector. Under his leadership and unique ability to build coalitions, he has positioned the current NETHAM project in the West Bank to be one of the mission’s leading success stories and has earned the respect of both Palestinian counterparts and U.S. government officials. Many of the best practices he helped to develop have now been utilized in other DPK projects around the world.
Mr. Isifan is fiercely loyal to his family and friends, and the barbeques at his house are legendary to any who has visited him in Ramallah. It has been a pleasure and honor to work with Mr. Isifan throughout the years and to grow professionally together. DPK looks forward to an enduring friendship and to continuing to work with Mr. Isifan for many years to come.
